From May 25–29, our team conducted a Basic Reconstructive Surgery Workshop at Tumbi Regional Referral Hospital, Tanzania, continuing a long-standing partnership dedicated to strengthening local surgical capacity and expanding access to reconstructive care across the region.
Basic Reconstructive Surgery Training Workshop COSECSA
From November 23 to 28, 2025, 2nd Chance conducted a reconstructive surgery workshop at CHUK in Bujumbura, in collaboration with the hospital teams and programme partners.
The mission covered the full cycle of care — consultation, surgery, and post-operative follow-up — delivering essential treatment to 13 patients and training 9 participants from East Africa.
