Surgery mission for two Burundian surgeons in Tanzania
In September 2013, two surgeons from Burundi, Dr Ndayishimiye and Dr Ndayizeye spent three weeks training with Dr Ed. Wayi in Dar es Salaam. They were able to go on a 7 days mission in rural zones to operate particularly indigent populations. This mission is the proof that, when correctly supported, African structures, close to field realities, are particularly adapted to a professionals’ south-south training.
The purpose is to renew this experience and to allow at least 2 African surgeons a year, to go on training of at least two weeks at one of the competence centers supported by 2nd Chance on the continent.
